Miami runs $2,665 median rent and 272 pleasant days. These cities keep most of the warmth and cut the housing bill hard.
By Karol Gajda
Miami's post-pandemic rent spike was one of the sharpest in the country. At $2,665 median rent, with no state income tax as the only relief, the case for staying needs either a very high salary or a very long tenure. The lifestyle case is genuine: 272 pleasant days, real food and culture, actual beach access.
This list finds cities that preserve the warm, food-forward lifestyle while cutting the rent. Every city clears at least 200 pleasant days and stays under $1,900 a month, and every blurb reports the rent gap against Miami.
